New Viewing Card

hello all

have upgraded from sky+hd ( dish failed ) to sky q, installation of Q is due 3rd oct

sky advisor, advised, would need a new viewing card for the Q box. they werent too sure how long before the install date new viewing card is sent out ( upgraded 16th sep ) . any ideas when its sent ie asap/week before etc or anyway to check on mysky to track it

post around here ( like a lot of places ) isnt great, every 2 weeks or so it arrives

was hopefully planning to goto the sorting office day before install date ( if hadnt arrived )

will the sky engineer be able to get the q box to work with no new viewing card

@peter+t20 engineers should have a spare supply of cards to hand in the event the card doesn't arrive in time but normally arrives 3-5 days before installation

Hi @peter+t20

I believe some HD+ viewing cards will work with Q. As far as I remember those ending with a 7 are OK.

Normally new viewings are sent out about a week berfore.

If it hasn't arrived by the time of install some Engineers carry spare cards.
