We’re writing to let you know that your Sky+ TV box will no longer receive software enhancements. And, because we value your loyalty and want you to continue enjoying our best possible experience, we are giving you the chance to upgrade to a new Sky Q box at no extra cost.

We’ll replace your current box with our latest one, without any set‑up fees at all.

Can someone tell me what box is the latest one please?

In theory the latest standard box is a 1TB UHD box but it is possible that it may come with 'strings' attached such as needing to take out multiscreen or something else

PLease may I suggest you, also, read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q

@F1Flower Although it's correct that your Sky+HD Box will no longer receive updates, it's worth noting that it hasn't received any updates for a few years now. It will continue to function as it's always done (assuming it is still functioning) so switching to Sky Q is still very much your choice.

Use @nigea99 's notes to decide whether it's what you want to do.

Technically the v3 which is a 1TB UHD/HDR box dating from late 2019 onwards.

As noted above, if the customer migrating from Sky+ doesn't opt in to the UHD add-on, it's possible an original 1TB non-UHD non-HDR from early 2016 will be despatched (which is something of a poorer option as it then incurs an upgrade fee to add UHD later)
