New Sky Q remote does not control sound

I have bought a new Sky Q remote control, went through the set up stages and although it controls everything else it does not control the sound, I have an LG TV model 47LA790W-ZA.
Please help

Have you paired it with the Q box AND TV?

I see that you can only have one remote paired with the box so is that the problem?
I wanted to have two paired..

hi @Chatsy

It can be done but rather convoluted.

Only one can be paired in bluetooth mode (& thus Voice control) - the other(s) has to be IR only

You first pair the one(s) you want to use in infrared only mode (pressing & holding 7 & 9 if needed to reset) by pressing & holding 1 & 3 together & following the on screen instructions

Once paired to the box & TV you reset it to use Infrared by pressing & holding 4 & 6 together

Then you re-pair the one you want to use in bluetooth mode & for voice contro, as above but this time don't press the 4 & 6 after

I've tried all that but no joy. I'm starting to think that the new remote is faulty.

Does it still control the sky box in IR mode?

Does the first / primary remote control the TV using IR ok?
