Mini box signal issues

I have Sky Q and three mini boxes. One mini box struggles to get a signal from the Sky Q box. I do not have Sky broadband (not available in my location). It seems I need a Sky Q booster but can't figure out how to get one from Sky. I spoke with them a while ago and the person I spoke to said the boosters are only available if you have broadband. Not sure what the solution is here. I would have thought that given that I'm a customer for over 20 years Sky would help me.

Hi @cardsagainsthuma

Sky Q boosters can be used to help connect mini boxes to the main Q box WiFi. You do not need to be on Sky broadband.

I would speak to them again and explain that you need the booster to aid mini connectivity. Something that they should be prepared to do.

Edit.

Bear in mind that another connected mini can be used if it is nearer than the main Q box.

Thank you. Will try again. I guess it depends on who you speak with sometimes.

I am connected to one of the other minis. Connection gives hope occasionally then falls off!

Be clear that you need a Q booster specifically, not just a Sky Booster
