Sky Q box showing UHD only for channel 401

My Sky Q box has started to show channel 401 as a UHD channel and I have to register to watch it, my mini boxes show 401 as HD and I can watch as normal.
I do not want to register for UHD, I have tried rebooting the box 3 times and nothing changes.

hi @DS60

a power down restart of the main box does usually sort out any issues with the 'smart' allocation of channels in the EPG

If you can, try to be patient and see if it does sort it out after a day or two - you should find Sky Sports Main Event in HD on 858 whilst you wait

If you don't want to wait you could try contact SKY but the advice may just be to power down restart - although they may be able to do other things

BTW If you watch regularly it may be wise to set the HD channel in your favourites & this will stay in the channel within your favourites, irrespective of whether it moves in the main EPG (I do recommend using Favourites for your most used channels as you can select them easier and see them grouped in the TV Guide - Favourites)

Thanks I didn't know about 858 channel that at least helps in that room for 401 replacement

I just noticed the same thing has happened on channel 407 in terms of its UHD only on the Sky Q box but not on the mini boxes ??

hi @DS60

That is quite likely as F1 is the only other UHD channel - the F1 HD whilst switched should be on 857

The mini boxes will never show the UHD versions as they can can't handle UHD (which is another reason why I use favourites - although they do have to be set up on each box)
