Never heard of a sky box producing that message.

is this a TV message because the Sky box has crashed and the TV is no longer receiving a signal on that hdmi input?

or several evenings between 730pm and 1030pm, I have lost connectionat least once, error message comes up " check Power connection". Ok can restore switching off at the wall and switching back on. Las night after several attempts when fault repeated got really fed up. Going through Sky help was might need new Q box, but gives a link using that nothing for the fault message so reverting to see if the community suggests anything. As not happy to just leave it, will phonexsky and ask formal engineer or a bew box. Hoping with anticipation David Wilson from Reading.

Hi , having issues too , my sky Q box keeps randomly loosing connection with my broadband to I try and keep reconnecting it connects for a couple of minutes but then drops again ( my broadband is virgin media) , sometimes it keeps connected for a some weeks maybe a month then it will have this issues of dropping out/ crashing randomly , I have a sky mini box upstairs but oddly enough that is connected and running fine.

Any one has any tips on what is causing it to crash is there something wrong with the connection interface or could it mean a new box

It was a message on the TV screen. Had another message after switching off and on again -"Mode not supported check resolution on external device. I phoned Sky protection and the support menu resolved nothing, also went into on-line help, again so many menus not quite dealing with issues and indication was just order a new box.

Don't forget to keep your viewing card and also swap the power cable just in case as there are two types.
