I have the same lack of audio issue, but only on live radio. Does anyone know how to fix it?

BBC Sounds not playing live radio on any station. I've tried resetting the sky box, reconnecting the router, refreshing apps, but nothing seems to make any difference. First world problem I know, but irritating.

Not an app I ever use, but I have tested and get the same result, everything works apart from live audio.

I would recommend everyone starts raising this with the BBC directly: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/help/questions/need-more-help/report-fault

I can flag this thread to Sky Community staff, but most of the time, these things end up being an app bug that the provider needs to fix.

Thanks for this, I appreciate you taking the trouble, at least I know now that it's the BBC, I have already raised a case with them & I had one reply asking me for more information - what version of Sounds I have and the System Information of the device. I supplied all this info to them on 3/09 but have not had a reply as yet

It must be a Sky Q issue.

I have just tried on my TV, Roku and also both my Sky Stream pucks and managed to play Radio 1 to 5 without issue.

It is not an app I use on a regular basis, as do not ever listen to BBC radio.

Would also suggest sending an email to the Sky Viewer relations team to report it;
ViewerR@sky.uk
They will pass on such device problems to a third party, in this case the BBC.

They do respond to emails with any updates for your queries or problems.

Thanks, I will try that but I don't think its a Sky problem as all other apps work perfectly.

The BBC sounds app works ok through our LG tv. Very difficult to know who it is that can fix this!

I suspect this is a BBC issue and even if it is a Sky Q problem, you have to get the BBC to say it isn't their app at fault or at least, say they can't replicate the problem before Sky will take a look.

Why?

Because most of the time the app is at fault. We blamed Sky for all the issues on Q with YouTube that took months to resolve, but it was the app.

That all said, the Q box hardware is getting a bit long in the tooth now and most people will have a better app experience using the ones on their smart TV or streaming device if they have one.

In the meantime, BBC radio stations (and others) are still being broadcast on Q from channel 0101 onwards.

Yes, it's back working for me. No response from bbc sounds about the issue. Thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions
