I am constantly having to restart my Sky q box and it keeps disconnecting I feel that I may need a new box however trying to speak to sky is next to impossible

You may still be able to request a doorstep swap of your Q box via this link. Remember to take your viewing card out of the old box before the swap, and remember to swap the power cables in case you end up with a different model of box with a different connector.

Try using powerline adapters and disabling wifi.

It's hard wired into the router
