Programmes still recording despite removing series link

Please help!

For ages and ages, we have had the issue where we remove a series link but the programme continues to record.

At my wits end here, any help appreciated!

Have you checked all recordings in the scheduled menu?

Have you removed the series link first before deleting the scheduled recording and also made sure there isn't multiple entries for the same program ?

As @caesarome and @PandJ2020 have indicated, go into…

Recordings / Scheduled / find the programme / remove series link / then cancel recording

That's what Sky will advise if you contact them. (Sky won't respond to you on here).

When you do this you will still (usually) get one more recording. Although the link is scheduled it would have already created the next recording.

So you have to cancel the link and also find the next episode and cancel that too.

@Chodley This is still happening... how can i escalate this please?

Below screenshots show:

1. The programme series has been deleted

2. The programme has STILL downloaded

3. The programme has "Add deries link" proving that I have not scheduled the series record.

What I neglected to do is get a photo to show that the next episode has not been recorded 'individually',

P.S No critiquing of the 'Married at First Sight' viewing (It's the Wife's... honest)

No, this isnt a situation where we've just watched a programme and then the next one downloads...

The situation might be that we watch an episode on saturday that was recorded the night before, we then decide we dont like it, so remove the series link and then the next friday the next episode records.

It is so frustrating. Any fix suggestions appreciated.

Is this happening on multiple series? If so what channels are they on?

I have to say that there may not be an answer let alone a solution though, I keep having to remove literally hundreds of episodes of quiz shows that the wife has watched the odd episode of. This happens weekly.

@Collinsc the response from @ozsat is what is happening and what you need to do

ie you set series link, it records on the Friday night after it records the Friday night episode it then sets up the recording for next Friday.

If on the Saturday you remove series link then as next Friday's episode is already set to record it records it and the series link ends the following week .

What you need to do after cancelling series link is to go into scheduled and then cancel the next weeks recording manually

Bizarre imo why you'd need to do that also. Surely "remove series link" should do just that.
