My contract is up soon, after 15 years I think it is time to look for somewhere cheaper. If Sky want the equipment back, I have a Sky Q and extra puck, but I return in a years time to get the cheaper new customer deal, would I be able to have Sky Q again or would they insist that I have Stream?

You need to be away for 18 months before being classed as a new customer. We obviously don't know if Sky Q will still be available then.

The current Sky contract with the satellite owners runs through to the end of 2029: this could suggest Q might cease to be available to 'new' users in December 2027 if not earlier.
