Sky’s - BBC1 recording and playback issues ?

Good evening Peeps

wondering 💭 if anyone out there is experiencing problems with BBC Channels recording and more importantly playback?

Recording will play happily and then freezes as if paused - can rewind but gets stuck. Cannot play forwards - I can fast forward but when release button Box returns to the frozen frame 🖼️?

Any advice would be appreciated- do NOT want to do a master reset as my 'bride' would not be best pleased if her recordings suddenly disappeared 👻 !!!

Hi @Eoinrua

Try a Reset Settings in the Q box hidden menu. This will not lose any recordings.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.
If you cannot switch the Q box on with the remote after the Reset press the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the box.
To re pair the remote press 1 & 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.

Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 & 3 together.

Resetting the settings will also reset:

Audio visual settings, such as picture resolution and HDMI control
Settings changed within the hidden engineer menu, include LNB type. If on a communal dish you need to reset the LNB to SCR in the hidden menu. After changing the LNB type you need to reboot the Q box.

I have found when I play a bbc recording - the fast forward doesn't work and the remote control won't do anything for about 10 seconds . For example I record Eastenders - when I play it , I want to fast forward The One show credits and it won't work straight away - I have to wait about 10 seconds 😳

Hi @Mark5644445 I recommend not using fast forward, simply hit Pause, followed by two DirectionRight button presses. The BBC is normally very accurate in starting two minutes in.

I have exactly the same problem with all recorded BBC programs. Any other channel recording i can fast forward straight away.
