Sky devialet sound box not turning on

I've had a sound box with our sky q for a few years and love it. For some reason it won't turn on, it has power as the red light is on it just wont turn green when I press the power button in the remote or the top of the box!?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Apparently there's a reset option: use at your own risk.

Restart your Sky Soundbox

Switch off the your Sky Soundbox at the mains
Make sure the LED light has gone out (this can take about 6 seconds)
Switch your Sky Soundbox back on at the mains

Still having problems? Try re-setting it instead:

Switch off the power to your Sky Soundbox at the wall and wait for the lights on the front panel to go off
Press and hold down the power and volume down buttons together. Don’t release them
While you’re holding down the buttons, switch the power back on at the mains
Keep holding down the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds until the red light on your Sky Soundbox comes on and then changes to amber
Release the power and volume down buttons
After 5-10 seconds, your Sky Soundbox will make the boot-up sound and turn itself back on. The light will go green

Mine deviatet is still on orange. Nothing can get it out of this ! I'm guessing it's ready for the skip?

Unfortunately the Soundbox is long out-of-support from Sky. It might have some value as a non-working device on eBay for the drivers alone.

Mine has also suddenly gone into the amber light!

Looks like these devices have a limited shelf life as reset did not work for me.

Just can't get it off the amber light.
