Dispose or return old Sky Q equipment?

I downgraded my Sky subscription to basic when we moved house a year ago and Sky requested I return my Sky Q equipment. I didn't get around to it as everything was chaotic for a while. Sky never mentioned it again.. I rejoined Sky Q several months later but the engineer installed a new Sky Q box. I still have the old one. Does Sky still want it back? Or can I dispose of it?

I'm surprised that Sky hasn't chased after you for it as all Sky Q equipment belongs to them so does need returning: You can use your own packaging to do this as this link will help you to print the return label and return it via Royal Mail:

Add a note inside with your account number and a list of equipment you have included.
Make sure you get and keep proof of posting when sending this off.

Yes. No.

If you were charged for non-return they may refund that when you return it.
