Do you think that my sky dish clamped to my outdoor, brick windowsill will be safe? I will attach a rubber pad and have a sturdy G-clamp clamping down to the rubber pad (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000LFVHH4/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_5?smid=A3FC837E69UD1Z&th=1). I will then attach a 3-foot swan-neck pole to it, and the sky dish will be mounted at the top (zone 1, MK4). Also, I will have metal wire wrapped around the top of the pole to make sure the pole doesn't lean. Do you think this will be a good solution for no-drilling for a flat on the second floor trying to get a sky dish?

@JoshUmney A dish needs to be properly installed on a suitable surface, a G-Clamp won't be sufficient to hold such a weight. In additon what happens if it fails and falls on someone, you'll be leaving yourself open to prosecution if a falling dish injures someone, or worse.

Best advise is to get it installed correctly & professionally

Agree. No. It will also look hideous.

Probably better to get Sky Stream

Sky engineers won't work on any issues that come about on a D.I.Y. placed dish. They have very strict health and safety regulations, even more so at height.

Do you think that my sky dish attached to my outdoor, plastic downpipe for my gutter will be safe to install a sky dish too with my equipment and steps? I will attach a rubber pad and have a sturdy u-bolt clamping down to the rubber pad (https://amzn.eu/d/6L2XUZ4). I will then attach the sky dish (zone 1, MK4). Do you think this will be a good solution for no-drilling for a rented flat on the second floor trying to get a sky dish?

You asked a very similar question a few days ago (posts merged). Sky engineers won't work on a DIY set up.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I fear you are wasting your time trying to come up with inventive ideas on how to get a dish even if I admire your ingenuity

SKY will not connect to any dishes they do not install and can successfully access.

I know this is likely to be very frustrating for you

Perhaps contemplate the wind loading of a 60mph gust on an area the size of a satellite dish, and the relative load-bearing capacity of a brittle plastic tube vs a bolted metal bracket...
