Paramount plus upgrade

You can now upgrade your paramount plus account with Sky to either hd with no adverts for £3 per month or UHD without adverts for £6 per month. Only you can't!
If you try on your q box all you get is a fault code SKY2999.

You cannot upgrade on my Sky app.

Rang customer services today and they could not help me , saying it's a fault and they have no idea when I can upgrade.

So it looks like watching paramount plus with adverts for the foreseeable future as Sky not renowned for their technical abilities.

Did we not used to get this for free?

No, you had to subscribe to Sky Cinema.

However... The tier was reduced recently to that with adverts. Personally, it doesn't bother me as most of the adverts seem to be for their own programmes...

I have been trying to upgrade to Premium for £6 all I keep getting after putting my card details in is that there is a problem and quotes me a reference ive tried contacting sky they cant do anything they tell me. I have mine through Sky Cinema why offer these subscriptions if you cant access them adverts are so annoying and useless.

Paramount plus are doing a deal if you want 4K it's half price for the year. That's cheaper than Sky all you need is a seperate Email address. I now watch it via my smart TV HOPEFULLY Sky will have it all sorted before I renew.......

There's nothing to stop you using that other account on your Sky box if you like - all you need to do is sign out and then sign back in on the other account.

Just in the Sky upgrade screen (21/10/25) and Paramount+ is now £4.99 with ads or £7.99 ie. no difference to signing up direct 🤷‍♂️

Just decided to take the value route and signed up to Sky Cinema with Paramount for £10pm apart from an error message and having to sign out of my Paramount account (I had the free 1 year trial) and back in all seems to be working. Seems to be the way to go with getting Cinema and Paramount for a tenner. Not impressed with e erything renewing for a 24 month contract nlbut that is normal these days.
