      <title>5 app no longer plays content. Error VJS-2999</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For the last week I can no longer play content on the 5 app on my SkyQ box.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It can play live content, but nothing on demand.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've tried signing out and back in, updating the sky software, refresh all apps, reboot SkyQ, reboot router, all to no avail.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can sign in to my 5 app on my smart tv and play all content without a problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Its only when I use the 5 app on the SkyQ box.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Each time it shows me error code VJS-2999 and refuses to play the content.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is the version info of the 5 app on the SkyQ:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="PXL_20250609_054504112.MP.jpg" style="width: 999px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/110861i8996F3912502BFA3/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="PXL_20250609_054504112.MP.jpg" alt="PXL_20250609_054504112.MP.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Paul&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you very much for looking into this.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've just checked again, and for some reason it appears to be working now, after well over a week of it failing!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I also messaged 5 regarding this, so perhaps they have done something remotely to fix it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks again for your help.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Well a full reset of all the skyq box settings made no difference.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I did manage to get it to play on demand content after many many tries, then I went in again to play something else and I'm back to square one. No on demand content at all can be played including the one that managed to play earlier.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've also got 5 looking into this but it's definitely related to sky q box as the 5 app works fine on my smart tv&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My discussions with sky so far have come to no avail.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A full reset of the settings has not worked.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;They have suggested an engineer call out but as far as I can see, an engineer won't be able to do anything about this short of factory reset the box or replacing the box altogether. Either way this would mean I get to lose all my recordings and would have to re-login to all my apps again (already done once today)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm going to wait to see if 5 come back with something.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I think it could be a problem their end, or perhaps with the software version that has been pushed out to SkyQ boxes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would be interested to see if any more people report this issue on SkyQ/5 App.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'll keep you posted....&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I sent a pic of how I solved my issue . Can't of let me send it . Try disabling ad blocker on your internet router (Eero device) . We restricted ad blocker to specific profiles excluding sky glass. I got help my another sky user having same problem . Mine now works fine by doing this . Hope this helps&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks again&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm reluctant to disable the adblocker, as on the nero to specify adblocking on/off on a profile requires adblocking to be disabled on the entire network.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would have to create a 2nd profile with adblocking enabled and add every device to this.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is also a problem for new devices added to the nero, as they all would then have adblocking disabled by default&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I think I'll stick to watching 5 on my smart tv&lt;/P&gt;</description>
