IPlayer sign in issue

When I try to login to bbc iPlayer on my sky q box it brings up the sign in screen but doesn't load. It just says that it could take up to 30 seconds depending on internet connection. 10 minutes later I'm still waiting!! There is nothing wrong with the internet connection as when I use it to download other catch up series it works fine. It's the signing in to the iPlayer that's the problem.

Hi @Obelix25

Have you tried refreshing the Apps in the Hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Select Apps 
then highlight Refresh all Apps on this box.
You'll see a message that says, 'Your apps are being refreshed'. This will stay on screen until you press Dismiss to return to normal viewing
It’s recommended waiting at least 5 minutes before doing so.

Refresh Apps can take up to 24 hrs to complete .

Have now tried this twice and it still hasn't worked. So I thought I'd set myself up again as new user but code that was to show on the screen to type into the website never appeared.
Any ideas where I go from here?

(Sorry, cheap joke too hard to resist. I presume you've tried unplugging your Q box and seeing if that helps?)
