I am sorry in advance if this is a silly question. I was currently watching the latest MAFS AUS Series 12 (I know saddo) on E4, where each episode was downloading automatically. Yesterday I called Sky and changed my package dropping Sky HD and Ultimate TV pack (as I cant afford my monthly bill). When I got home last night all the latest series was removed from my planner and now I can only access up until Series 11 and not the latest one at all. I dont understand why that is, is it because I have dropped the Sky HD? I wasnt even sure what I was getting on that package in complete honesty. Can anyone help? I also wanted to ask - I have decided to keep Sky Cinema and remove HD, they are both very similar cost. Am I getting more for my money by keeping Cinema over HD? Thanks......

The important question for HD is what is the size of your TV and how far away are you sitting. As for Cinema, only you will know how many films you watch, for me personally, I watch about 6 films a year.

I don't know about E4 specifically but there is a quirk with Channel4 & C5 in that you can watch live & record from the HD channels without the HD add on but not watch HD downloads (i.e. Catch up & On demand) without being prompted to upgrade back to HD

Right that explains then thank you. How odd that you can download the other 11 series but not the latest. Will it become available for download eventually? I have given up watching it on Channel 4 app, ridiculous amount of adverts.

In the same boat very annoying but the All4 app via Sky hasn't been too bad- why does Sky lose the rights to certain shows?

Channel 4 hold the rights to the series and ideally they want people to use their app (where you can't skip ads without paying).. One way to do that is to make popular programmes available for longer via the app.

For me there is a big difference in picture quality between HD and non-HD programming.

I tend to sign up to Cinema every six months for a month to catch up on releases I want to see. Works out better for me.
