Hi @Pantzz

Assume this is is a Q Bluetooth remote with microphone button for voice control.

These don't use codes and are paired to TV using brand and model.

With the Q box on with green led try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair. When asked for LG model use find it for me.

Very helpful, thankyou, I believe it is the bluetooth version remote.

The problem was that my tv Samsung QE55S95D is not on the Sky list of Samsung TV's for some reason and was not sure I was correctly paired as sometimes does not switch on the TV with the Sky Q box (can operate the volume with the Sky remote when TV is on)

Maybe I have HDMI cables incorrectly connected

I have Sky Q 2TB box

Samsung QE55S95D TV

Sony BDVE 4100 Sound system

HDMI cable Sky to TV and HDMI cable BDVE to TV

Optic cable from Sky Q to BDVE for sound

I have no other Sky mini box connected, just the above equipment all connected to my BT wifi

Hi @Pantzz

When you switch on the Q box with a short press on the remote it is the Q box HDMI CEC control rhst switches the Television on (not the remote).

For this to happen, CEC control needs to switched on in the Q box and also the television. (LG CEC control is Simplink).

Edit.

To switch the Television On or Off with a paired Q remote you need a long 2 -3 seconds press on the remote.

The Q cEC control does not work to switch off the Television when you power the Q box Off.

However if you have Smart standby mode switched on in the Q box Settings - Preferences, then switching the Television Off with a long press on the remote will also switch off the Q box.

So, to switch on Q and Television, you need a short press on the remote standby button.

Then, to switch Off Both Television and Q box use a long press on the remote to switch off the Television which will also switch off the Q box.

The model doesn't need to be listed for the remote to work with that TV, just try the suggested setup here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/touch-voice-set-up
