Downgrading Sky Q TV Package

After 20 years with Sky my financial circumstances mean i need to downgarde my subscription...a lot! Went out of contract this week. I just want to keep:

- the recording box

- Atlantic and netflix

I thought i could get this package under Sky Essential? But I understand that is not available to Q box users.

Can anyone advise what i should be asking for before contacting Sky?

Unfortunately you need Signature to get Atlantic via Q. This retails at over £40 and NetFlix is extra.

...but you might be able to negotiate a deal but these last 2 years now.

Unfortunately you are correct that te SKY Essential TV you have seen is not available on SKY Q - only streaming

SKY rather unwisely re-used Essential for that package on SKY Stream - on SKY Q Essentials is just a way of keeping the SKY Q box to watch & record from the Free to Air channels (i.e. does not have SKY Atlantic)

I do not know if you can add Netflix (aka Ultimate TV) to SKY Q Essentials.

on SKY Q the only subscription to include SKY Atlantic is the full base entertainment package - currently Signature that you can add (& sometimes comes bundled with) Netflix

Thanks Folks. That looks like I'm after Sky Signature and need to haggle on the price? I suppose one upside is Signature will have a lot more channels going for it. Does it still have box sets?

hi @Dalestyke yes box sets is included as standard (in SD) in Signature - although these days Box Sets is not really a thing - just known as On Demand (alongside Catch up)
