Sky q remote asking for password

I have a skq Q with mini boxes (multiroom) and recently decided to give sky glass a try. Couldn't get on with it for whatever reason but since re-instating sky Q when I try to use the input source button on the remotes it asks me for a password. I've tried the sky pin, the default tv codes but nothing. I've also reset the main box & the remotes by pushing 7 & 9 together, then 1&3 but this hasn't solved it.

It was working on the various Tv's before so its left me baffled.

Any idea please?

Certainly nothing to do with Sky Q or the remote.

It would seem to related to your television.

Thank you for your detailed reply. After a bit more trial & error playing about with it, I've managed to sort it.

It all came down to which number it uses when programming the sky q remote with the tv.

When I pressed 1&3 and selected 'find the number for me' I initially confirmed the first one that worked with the volume, but input button was asking for a password. This time I tried the other codes that worked with the tv and now it's allowing the use of the input source button again. .

The wrong code must have had that butron sending something an IR code to the TV which was for a protected part of the menu, rather than simulating the TV remote's "input source"
