LG C4 OLED Auto-Wake

Hi guys,

Are there any know issues with LGs and Sky Q boxes, specifically the auto-wake feature over HDMI? I was under the impression that the feature is set on the Sky equipment and not the TV. Previously, with my Sony LED TV, pressing the power button the Sky Q remote would wake both the Sky Q box and in turn, the TV.

With my new LG, more often than not, I get:

The green light on my Sky box is on and even when I manually select HDM1, the above message persists.

I'm using fairly high spec Amazon HMDI cable, plugged into HDMI1. My Firestick is plugged into HDMI2.

Thoughts? any settings or anything I can have a look at?

Works fine on my LG.

check SIMPLINK is enabled and 'auto power sync' too.

I get that message from cold start, but disappears after a few seconds.

Yup, connection > device connection settings

Also check HDMI-CEC enabled on Q side.

Hi, I have an LG and can confirm it works fine. All the advice given by other LG owners on this specific discussion is spot on.

On webOS 24, the SIMPLINK option is under General / External Devices / HDMI Settings.

This functionality is also set on the Sky equipment. On Sky Q under Settings you can set up the Sky Q remote to control an LG TV.

Very common issue, use the LG remote to power on TV and sky box. No matter what settings you have the problem reoccurs every few days.

Thanls guys! Both settings mentioned were already enabled... It hasn't been an issue today to be fair.

In other news my Firestick wakes the TV and comes on, every time I use it.

I've just read about 'auto power sync' in another forum - any idea where this setting is?
