Since full fibre always getting network connection problems

I am so fed up of having to input my password every day or sometimes multiple times a day, all since we had sky full fibre. I've had sky for over a decade and I've never had so much hassle with it! It's very frustrating having to connect the sky box to the internet constantly when the internet is still on and nothing has changed! The boxes just do not seem compatible with the full fibre as they were previously. I'm thinking of leaving sky in that annoyed with it. Anyone else noticed this since changing to full fibre?

@Loola1 Did you get the white Sky Max hub when you changed to full fibre? If not, which Sky hub do you have (look for the model number on the back)?

Yes it's the white one, it seems like they don't like 'talking' to each other, I nearly had a rage when I had to repeat connection 5 times yesterday.

Unlike the older Sky Hub, the new Max version is much more modern and WiFi 6, the Q hardware is nearly 10 years old now so it does seem to struggle with modern routers in some set ups (my EE one is WiFi 6 and also having issues).

Any chance you can connect the main Q box via Ethernet? Do you have any mini boxes?

Hi @Loola1

With you new Sky Max hub it performs like a 3rd party router with Sky Q.

You need to connect it to you main Q box by using SSID and password for the 2.4 Ghz band. (Unless you use Ethernet

If you have any minis on WiFi then they need to connect by WPS to the main Q box (or a Q booster or already connected mini if nearer)

I believe you can run an additional "compatibility mode" 2.4GHz wifi network on the EE router which Sky Q is less finicky about.
