@TVwatcher42 when you currently change the source with your tv remote when you reach the source that you want ie say HDMI 2 to you have to press select/ok or another button to confirm your selection. If so then afraid the Sky Q remote will not work at all.

The Sky Q remote only work on source selection where after landing on say HDMI 2 it automatically selects this source after being on it for 3 or more seconds

hope that makes sense

I bought a new TV the other day; after many years and very happy with it. Philips 'The One' (43PUS8949/12). I have got the Sky remote to change volume and TV power, but unable to navigate the Source/Inputs menu. Someone else I speak to regularly said, his parents have a (slightly older) Philips with the same remote issue. How likely is it that Sky will fix this - and is the only other way of contacting , by phone? Thanks

That's typically down to the inconsistent ways in which different television manufacturers have implemented input switching rather than something Sky can be expected to 'fix', particularly on Sky Q which is approaching the end of its life as a platform.
