Hi,is an engineer visit necessary to re install sky q box and mini to an existing sky q dish ?

No, as long as there's still a Q-compatible LNB on the dish. Sky may feel the need to book an 'installation' anyway.

Thanks for your help,it's only been a couple of months since we left but the replacement isn't really working out,but don't want to have to take a day off work for an engineer visit, if it just plug in the boxes and connect to broadband etc 👍

Only way you will find out is by speaking to Sky directly if and when you reorder @pl26
