topic Picture Definition in Sky Q

Why is netflix program definition better quality on my hisense TV App versus Sky App. I appreciate the TV uses Dolby Vision, but we pay for Ultra HD on sky. Is this a lower quality. If so, why weren't we made aware of this. Sky needs to up its game if true.

That's the only way to get UHD on Netflix, the UHD add-on is only applicable to Sky content, not Netflix content.

Sky Q has been around for nearly a decade - it's pretty ancient in technology terms.

Dolby Vision is a format of HDR (High Dynamic Range) which offers better colour and contrast than the Sky Q box can offer which is limited to the HLG and HDR10 formats of HDR, depending on the type of content.

Sky Stream and Sky Glass can offer Dolby Vision on Netflix.

If you watch a lot of Netflix then your TV's app will offer better quality than Sky Q.
