Latest Sky Q software version

Hello all, I have noticed on the forum that there has been a new software version, namely Q300.000.06.00L. Has anyone got this version, and, if so, are there any known issues with it? Also, it would be great if you could detail the main areas of change, if you are using it.

I am currently running version Q280.000.08.00L (5vosfts) on my Sky Q box, and I am having no problems with it.

I have been considering doing a manual update to the latest version, however, right now, details about it are scarce.

Hi @TonyG5 Until they update the DR stream, a manual update is just a reboot of the box. It will still remain on Q280. You cannot force it to Q300.

Q30 is available for manual update now but there are no noticeable changes.

Don't build your hopes for any dramatic changes, hasn't been any noticeable changes for ages!

My box just died with the Q300 software, not sure if it's related or if it's because it's 8 years old!

Hello, and thank you all for your feedback on the latest Sky Q version. I updated my box and had no problems with the update, to version Q300.000.06.00L (5yzv4ns). As per other customers' feedback, I can find no functionality changes in the latest version. However, at least for me, there are performance improvements: the menu system is fast!

My supposedly 1 month old Q box (probably actually just refurbished), keeps crashing on Q300.

Picture freezes, sound stutters and a full power cycle is required to return service. It just happened again during the Preston v. Villa game on BBC1.

My Q box has just received this update. Completely crashed. I had reboot, relink remote to Q box, TV and sound system, reconnect to Internet and refresh all apps. Like starting again from scratch.

All recordings wiped. I'm now sitting trying to remember what on earth I've recorded over the past few months in the hope that some of it is still available. Thanks Sky - I hope the software upgrade is worth it.

I have updated and reset my Apps, Youtube is still slow. When you pause it, then restart it takes ages for the video to start playing.

My box is on Q300 and it keeps switching off and freezing. The record light comes on when that happens. Not solution is to power off and on at the wall. But after a while it freezes again

Try updating it. Should be able to get Q310
