Apart from 32C that only records 3 channels at a time and supports only one Mini box simultaneously. All 32B boxes support UHD and 32B1 & 32B2 boxes support HDR.

@Ouseman wrote:

Thanks to everyone who answered. The fog is clearing!

hi @Ouseman

Just in case of any confusion over the different boxes the default box being offered to new customers is a 1TB UHD (HDR capable) box although for customers upgrading from SKY HD we have often seen SKY only offer the older 1TB non UHD box

2TB boxes are fairly thin on the ground and usually SKY will want an 'upgrade' fee of typically £99 there may also be an upgrade fee if they are only offering the non UHD version

To put this in contect with earlier posts the 32xxxx reference is what is shown in the menus on the boxes
If it is 32Cxxx then it is an older 1TB non-UHD Box
If it is 32B0xxx then it is a (V1) UHD but non HDR 2TB Box
If it is 32B1xxx then it is a (V2) UHD HDR 2TB Box (which has a separate Power supply)
If it is 32B2xxx then it is a (V3) UHD HDR 1TB or 2TB Box (as mentioned the 1TB version is now usually the default for new customers)

As you may see the mention earlier regarding differng power supplies is with the 2TB versions

Note you are unlikely to specify you get a 2TB V3 box above only a 2TB HDR capable box which SKY can issue a V2 or V3

Note V1,V2 & V3 are terms only really used here and the SKY advisers do not know them by these (or even the 32xxx references) only by type e.g. 1TB non UHD/1TB UHD, 2TB UHD non HDR capable & 2TB UHD / HDR capable
