Volume buttons no longer work

The volume buttons have suddenly stopped working on my Sky Q voice remote. I even ordered a new remote as I thought the old one was broken but they still don't work? I've pressed 1 & 3 to pair, but it doesn't recognise my Samsung TV to finish set up? I don't understand why? Is it because my TV is now too old? Not sure what I'm supposed to do? I need to be able to control the volume?

Well you could just use the TV remote

but if it once worked it won't have stopped working. most manufacturers' TVs share IR codes so select the closest model in the list.

Yes, but I don't want to use two remotes. It did work then suddenly stopped working for some bizarre reason. There are hundreds of Samsung TV's on the list and I haven't got time to go through them in the hope that one of them works.................. Looks like i'll have to use two remotes! Thanks anyway 🙂

Like I said, pick the closest model number. No one sane would try all of them 🙂
