I can't get Sky + HD on my sky sports + package. Is there an extra cost? I have Sky HD

On the football channel I cannot get the Sky + HD football games. I pay for Sky + and also Sky HD. Is there an extra charge or am I doing something wrong to tap into it? It cuts out some of the better games - very frustrating.

You mean on Sky Sport? You have to also subscribe to Sky Sport.

On a Sky+HD subscription you need to access most of the sport using the Sports app on a mobile/tablet, you need a newer Sky system to get access on your TV (Sky Q, Glass or Stream)

For clarity, it's not possible to access the majority of the new 'Sky Sports+' service on the 'legacy Sky+ HD' platform. In addition, Sky Sports+ access requires a full Sky Sports subscription rather than just Sky Sports Football.

If you already have a full Sky Sports subscription, you’re all set! Sky Sports+ will automatically be added to your current Sky experience on Sky Glass, Sky Stream and Sky Q,

However, if you have a single sports pack subscription, you’ll need to upgrade to the full Sky Sports pack to enjoy Sky Sports+.

What about Sky+ customers?

Sky+ customers with a full Sky Sports subscription will receive the new Sky Sports+ channel at no extra cost. While Sky+ doesn’t support the additional live streams, you can still enjoy them on your mobile or tablet through the Sky Sports app.

If you are a current Sky+ customer, you have the option to upgrade to Sky Q at no extra cost, or you can choose to stay with your existing Sky+ box package.

For clarity. A new sky box was installed last week. I pay for Sky plus, Sky HD and Sky Sport. When I go to the sky sport section - football - I cannot access the games that have an HD in the right hand corner. When I click on them it says I need to subscribe to HD. Are they talking about Ultra HD? It's the only other subscription available that I can find when I look at my account details that I don't have.

Do you have Sky Q and NOT Sky+ where you've posted?

Sky+ does not support UHD and you would not have been able to get a replacement box as Sky+ boxes are no longer supported.

I have SkyQ. When I go to the football channel there are games that are marked Sky Sports +HD. I cannot get into them even though I have the Sports package. I'll give a shout out to Sky. Thank you.

Are you in the UK or Ireland ?

In the UK SKY Sports is in HD as standard but I think in Ireland there is a separate SKY SPorts HD subscription needed to watch Sports channels in HD - this is spearate to the standard SKY HD add on
