Looking to join sky

Hi, can someone tell me what happens when you join sky? Only wanting sports and tnt. Can you have a main box downstairs and another upstairs? Also can you record sky sports and tnt on the box that would be upstairs?

You can't have a sports-only subscription. You need a base subscription of Signature to add the other channels to.

If you have a mini box (this needs a multi-room subscription) then it acts as a slave box to the main Q box. The mini has no storage of its own but you can still initiate/watch recordings.

(Check that any Sky multiroom subscription covers non-Sky channels - some charge their own multiroom separately)

Thank you for this, very helpful. Do you know if you have to have sky installed still or is it over WiFi?
is there a way to have sky without having to have engineers out ?

You've posted in the Q forum - which involves a dish (Which would require an engineer etc)

The alternative would be a streaming product (Glass/Stream) which is self install - but no recording (You explicitly mentioned recording).

Stream lets you kind of record things - more like a bookmarking system for catchup content.
