Sky q Mini not powering on

My sky q mini box is not powering on, the red light comes for a few seconds before disappearing, I have tried different power cables, but the box still does not power on. I have tried to reset the box ,but this has not worked as well as seeing if its just the blub has broken that does not work however it does not power on, this box was purchase later than the reset of our devices and is newer, but the older boxes are not having this issue

Well you didn't purchase the boxes. They are all loaned from Sky (and need to be returned if you cancel your subscription).

However, that means they'll replace them for free...

But try the reset procedure first:

Switch the Sky Q Mini box off at the mains.
Hold down the Reset button on the back of the Sky Q Mini box and switch it back on at the mains.
Keep holding it until the light on the front flashes red and green. This will take about 30 seconds.

We have previously tried all you have suggested, but nothing has worked. I am very greatful for your advice, thankyou.

Go through the box troubleshooter on sky.com and it will conclude with a box replacement.
