Moved from Sky Signature to Essentials

I moved from Sky Signature to Sky Essentials to save money.

I have now lost access to Discovery + , Sky Alantic etc is this correct.

I tried to use the chat line but it's currently not working.

Yes, that's correct. Q Essentials is basically Free-to-Air channels.

Unfortunately there seems to be great confusion over TV Essentials now on SKY Q due to the fact that SKY have inadvisedly used Esential in two slightly different products on 2 different platforms

TV Essentials on SKY Q only allows access to the Free To Air (FTA) channels (including the abaility to record) - it does not include SKY Atlantic.

I also suspect it doesn't include Discovery + but I haven't looked in detail

The newer product Essential TV available on SKY Stream includes SKY Atlantic & Netflix as well but this is not available on SKY Q

Many online sources, including the Google AI response, are horribly confused by the really silly choice of name for the new streaming product from Sky and its overlap with a much older satellite television option that has no subscription channels or bundled apps.
