The Q 'essentials' is simply the ability to watch and record 'free' channels.

(There's a similar named product 'Essential TV' for other products that does include it and NetFlix and Discovery+)

Unfortunately there is great confusion over this due to the fact that SKY have inadvisedly used Esential in two slightly different products on 2 different platforms

TV Essentials on SKY Q only allows access to the Free To Air (FTA) channels (including the abaility to record)

Essential TV on SKY Stream includes SKY Atlantic & Netflix as well but this is not available on SKY Q

Multiple online sources have 'Essential TV' and 'TV Essentials' hopelessly mixed-up, particularly because AIs cannot tell the difference.

The Google AI response for 'Sky TV Essentials' is simply wrong, because it populating text with a description of 'Essential TV'.
