There's nearly a decade in time between the designs of the 'Q mesh' and the Max Hub, and so the latter doesn't have the proprietary networking capacity of its predecessor Q Hub and Sky Broadband Hub.

Ive recently set up a new white SKY max hub but retained the original main sky q box and mini boxes. I was led to believer that this would improve WIFI signal by using the mini boxes as hotspots. All seemed to be OK until I attempted to switch ON the wifi hotspots via the advance netwok settings on the main box. As soon as I switched this facility on, I then lost my broadband and internet connections on the main box. This required me to reset the main box network settings and then this results in the wifi hotspots being swithced OFF?

Any solutions to this dilema?

Hi @tdcfdc

As far as I am aware, the Sky Max hub works like a 3rd party router.

Therefore as you say the hotspots need to be turned on in the main Q box settings.

You may not find that they are very effective.

See following link.
