An LNB on an individual domestic dish cannot do that.

@RESROC wrote:

hi @RESROC

The need for 2 or twin cables is because the normal wideband LNBs used for Q use one cable for each polarity

I believe you can get dSCR LNBs which can work with a single cable as it works differently but they are quite niche and probably need a specialist Installer

SKY would not supply one and quite likely not agree to fit or link to one

Presumably your cable route is not direct

@RESROC There is still a Global Invacom dCSS D 0 0 0 3 6 2 LNB available on ebay, but you are unlikely to persuade a Sky installer to fit it for you because it requires a 40mm LNB collar clamp to be utilised instead of the Sky MiniDish default 37.5 mm mounting collar.

And, because when a Sky Q receiver has been configured to use SCR LNB mode, it will instruct this LNB to utilise a particular 'User Band' signal and will then continuously provide this steady 'User Band' signal with only the datastream error rate changing as it is aligned onto the satellite. Thus, it is rather tricky to align for the first time if you had never had the opportunity to play with it before and were not aware that the only indication of correct alignment will only come suddenly when the dish beam alignment is within around 3 degrees of optimal.

Godfrey.
