I realised it was a forum after I sent it so apologies I have also tried to speak to them with no joy. Sadly being a loyal customer doesn't get you anywhere anymore. They have not even offered to compensate us

We have no satellite signal and have been told that we will nit have an engineer out until March 3rd. Meanwhile we are paying for a service we are not receiving and the longer it goes on the more unhappy we are about it. You gave us sky cinema until 27th Feb as a compensation for the time it will take for the engineer to come out yet you are offering free sky cinema for 4 weeks. We have been loyal customers for 23 years and feel like we are not being treated fairly. We also have broadband with you and have all our mobile gadgets with which means we pay a lot of money to Sky. Almost £2,000 We have tried to access sky cinema and it is telling us to upgrade so not only do we have no live TV we can't even get the benefit of sky cinema because it tells us to upgrade. Please resolve this matter as a matter of urgency

You could see if a local satellite engineer would be quicker but that would be at your own expense.

I think that might be due to Q requiring a satellite signal to confirm subscription.

Adding something to your subscription as compensation for no sat signal, for a period shorter than when the dish will be fixed, strikes me as utterly bizarre.

I wonder if it will also require 31 days notice of cancellation after the free period has expired, so you end up paying for a month even if you cancel straight after the 4 weeks.
