Swapping Q box on doorstep

Hi there.

I've ordered a replacement Q box for my 80 year old Mum. I won't be there when it's delivered. And I'm pretty sure she'll be utterly flustered trying to swap out the new one for the old one so the courier can take it.

Is it possible to tell the courier we'll return the old one ourselves? Has anyone done this?

Or are the dpd drivers usually quite helpful?

If the box isn't ready by the door the driver won't leave the new one. It will be worthwhile you or another family member/ friend / neighbour disconnecting the faulty box and have it and the power cable by the door. Remember to remove the viewing card from the box.

The courier will leave the replacement box and take the old one away. The courier won't help connect up the new one and their time slots won't allow that anyway..

As mentioned above.

Do make sure you remove the Sky viewing card from your faulty box.

You will need this when you setup your replacement box.

Also, make sure that EVERYTHING in the delivered box is removed, in case the replacement has a different power supply to the one going back.

Oh, and as another reminder, don't forget to take the viewing card out of the old box!
