Channel 4 doesn’t work when selected from the guide

When I select channel 4 from the guide it doesn't work and just says no satellite signal. If I manually tune it it works! All thoughts appreciated

Are You tuning the same resolution?

Ie HD or SD

There are a few Channel 4 variants so it is possible that the manual tuning you used is not the same transponder as the setting used for you in the TV Guide

Channel 4 is divided into 7 regions, 6 for the UK and 1 for Ireland. Only the adverts are different (and some programmes are blocked on the Irish version). These regions are broadcast on various different transponders so you have most likely tuned into a different region to the one you get on your guide.

Which BBC or ITV region are you in (then we can work out which version of C4 you should get).

I'm in Scotland but not sure the region. I think I'm on the same resolution as the guide says HD as does the manual tuning

As per that link C4 Scotland is on 12363 V

Which frequency did you manually tune ?

Which indicates that you probably have a slight mis-alignment causing the other transponder to be too weak for you

When I look at the signal strength it's 0 but signal quality is 90. I've tried moving the dish slightly in various directions but the signal strength doesn't improve

Thanks so if I try to manually tune to the correct frequency for Scotland nothing. So I'll check the alignment again

On SKY Q it is not as useful as it could be.

It is a fixed single transponder set in an engineer's menu and does not show the condition of the channel you are watching

Adjusting a dish without a test meter is not likely to be very accurate and could even lead to making it worse for some transponders

Also I'm I right to think that the LNB needs to be skewed to around 8 o'clock when looking at the dish?
