Sky q remote not turning on tv

Problem started with me rebooting my sky q box due to the Netflix Problem so many people have had. Got tv working but all apps (netflix, bbc iplayer) all disappeared. Rebooted again and now remote won't turn tv on, but sky q box is on. Can't view anything now as cant get remote to work.Been messing with this for over ½ hr now!

hi @Elaine671

May I suggest you try a reset of your remote:

Press & Hold the 7 & 9 until the remote's light (red LED above the SKY logo button) flashes 4 times

Then press 1 & 3 together to go through to re-pair with the box and your TV - make sure it has line of sight of the box as until it is paired it uses Infrared

Thank you. I've tried this several times now and although the red light flashes correctly on the sky remote, my tv still won't come on. So frustrating!

hi @Elaine671

If I understand it you are unable to switcvh the TV itself on - if so may I sugest you use the TV's own remote to power on the TV (or physical buttons on the TV) and then see if SKY shows and follow the steps to re-pair the remote to the TV

Is the Q box on with green led or is it still Amber?

@Brenda22 Try resetting your remote.
Press the buttons 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes twice then follow onscreen instructions to repair the remote.

Hi, I have tried all that, but still not working. This have happened before. When I get a new remote, it will be my third one. Thanks for replying
