New Sky Q box. With essentials. How do I access Netflix?

Netflix asks for email & password. I don't have a Netflix password & don't know my Sky password. How to I access Netflix?

Do you subscribe to Netflix? This is an additional charge & not included with your subscription.

Minimum is £4.99 pm with ads. You'd then open the app & sign in with your Sky email & password. If you don't know your Sky password then on the account sign in page choose forgotten password link.

Hi @ChrisLoveys I am not sure that you can add on Netflix with Essentials. The easiest way is to go onto the Netflix site to buy a subscription and set up a userID and password to log on to the Sky Q box (or any other device).

Confusingly, 'TV Essentials' is not the same as 'Essential TV'

Essential TV is the new bundle which puts a subset of Sky subscription channels plus Netflix Standard with Adverts on a Sky Glass television or a Sky Stream puck.

TV Essentials is the long-standing free-to-air satellite channels reception and recording/playback (without bundled Netflix) on a Sky Q box.

Something of a genius move from Sky to go with that naming, really...

As far as I know, with TV Essentials on Q, it's possible to set up a Netflix subscription directly with Netflix and then use Netflix credentials to sign into the app on the Q box.

Sky says "If you have subscriptions to any Sky Q TV apps, billed through a 3rd party provider you’ll be able to log into these on your Sky Q box but to view in UHD, you’ll need a Sky Q UHD box"
