They will be able to put new connectors onto the wires for sure.

However, I'm pretty certain they will not extend any wiring other than running new cable, i.e. they won't join cables together.

I have booked an engineer to move Sky Q box from one room to another room. However, first available date is after dates for laying flooring. There are two cables coming from under the floor. I can't push them under the floor as there are connectors above the floor making the cables too wide for the holes. The engineer will have easy access to under the floor via hatch under the stairs. Is it okay for me to cut the cables and push them under the floor before the engineer arrives and assume he will reconnect them? I phoned Sky and the first person I done to didn't know, and the second person I spoke to wasn't sure but I'm the end said to cut them.
