Is it possible to get set up for sky but not activate it?

I am doing bit of renovations on an older house, & I will have to get the walls pumped with insulation, so I would like to do all the drilling through walls before pumping walls. Is it possible to get the wiring, Sky dish installed, but not activate sky until I move into my house?

@Liv8107 Once the dish is installed the service will be activated by the engineer as they need to setup your box, there is't a viable way to delay it.

hi @Liv8107

As an alternative you could buy suffcient cable (we recommend WF100) and get someone to drill through and place the cable through (leaving the ends suitably wrapped awaiting the install)

Note you must make sure there is sufficient cable to reach where the dish will be as SKY won't join cables.

Edit : BTW You would need Twin cable

Not through Sky themselves: they don't want to using their field installation personnel for more than one visit.

Also worth remembering that satellite TV will likely cease by the end of the decade, at which point you'll be left with a useless dish that'll need removing and some holes in your wall that'll need filling.
