When I turned on Sky on Satyrday after a few days away I found that the majority of channels were now not available.

I still have BBC 1-4, ITV 4 (but not ITV 1-3), Sky Nature and a number of other random channels..

I have done all the checks as recommended by the bot - checked the connections, no bad weather, no obstruction of the dish, turned the box off and on again, etc.

For the channels that have gone missing I get the message "This channels is currently affected by a problem with your satellite signal." When I go into Settings / Status I see that the satellite signal is good.

Any suggestions to solve this problem?

@BryanLorigan
If a message displays “no satellite signal” firstly check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Otherwise it’s likely to be a dish alignment issue so check the troubleshooting in this link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish. If it doesn’t you’ll need to contact Sky to book an engineer appointment.

If you are connected to a communal dish you need to liaise with your building management company / landlord who will have their approved engineers to contact.

Remember, a misalignment is not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels.

I see that your lengthy response was posted at the same time as my query.........am I communicating with an AI bot?

In my query I said that I had checked the connections so I am surprised that you mention this as something that I should check.

I said that the signal strength was "good" - is that consistent with your suggestion that the dish is misaligned?

No. I'm just quick 😂 This scenario is very common so my response is saved as a template.
