Sky Q remote no longer controlling volume on sound system

Hi after a factory reset on my sky Q last night my sky remote no longer controls my sound system. Have tried the 7&9 & 1&3 to pair remote with tv this didn't work as it couldn't find my tv so couldn't get any further. Had this issue a few years ago I think it was somewhere in the tv settings (LG) but can't find it anywhere now ..

hi @Julest27

The first thing I must ask is did pressing the 7 & 9 result in the 4 flashes of the LED above the SKY logo button to confirm the reset?

After that we adise you do try the 'Find it for me' option after choosing the TV manufacturer rather than searching for your specific TV model.

If none of the LG codes work it might be worth trying the Vestel make codes - we know they make TVs for some manufacturers to sell under their brand (although I don't really think LG is one but worth a try)

Hi yes it flashed & I used the find it for me

No idea about codes you mentioned

As I say I think I had to do something in the tv settings rather than the remote last time

Sorted thanks to a very helpful Sky person : just incase snyine needs this info -

do the remote set up steps hold buttons 7&9 then 1&3 select yes when it asks if the tv set up has worked (even if it hasn't) it then takes you into the sound system section which was the bit I couldn't find how to access
