Sky Q Mini Box is locked

One of my Sky Q mini boxes has locked on a 'Accessibility on Sky Q' information screen. I am assuming it has carried out an update which has failed (I do not use the accessibility functions). There is no way to exit the screen, as the controller has stopped working (although it still works on my TV). I have tried to reset the box (using instructions found on this forum) but it simply returns to the same locked screen after restarting.

Sky have suggested the following...

Unpair their Sky Q remote from the box by holding 4&6
Wait for the remote to flash
Then dismiss the information screen "Skip & set up later"
Hold 1&3 to repair the remote control

If 4&6 does not allow you to clear the information screen, try holding 7&9 to reset the Sky Q remote then hold 1&3 and follow the on-screen setup journey to allow the remote to control your TV.

Crazy as it sounds this worked a treat. Problem I had was setting up a new Sky Q mini box. After powering up and hitting the 'Home' button as instructed, I ended up with the same 'Accessability' screen, but was locked out. I assumed the box was locked, but resetting the controler with the 4 and 6 keys, I was able to skip the screen. Even more astounding was the Sky box was fully set up, I didn't need to do any more.

Many thanks as I'd wasted 2 hours earlier without success 🙂
