Hi,

box worked fine for many years and started crashing two months back, usually from standby. sky sent a new (used) box which does the same thing. Left it running overnight to return to a frozen picture.

Is there an overarching issue with boxes currently?

Thanks,

Florian

That's a 2nd generation box. The only one I had trouble with lockups was on a 1st gen box.

Might be worth checking the sat connections are are good and sat signal OK and that the box has the latest software. If you have any mini boxes make sure they are all on the same software version.

Did update the software on this one as well as the one mini I use. No change. Is it possible for the mini to crash the Q box? As I have another one on the shelf which I could swap in to see if that makes a difference?
