Remote won't pair on mini box

I cannot pair my remote with my mini box. It always says pairing unsuccesful . I have tried a new remote and stiil the same issue. I have also reset the mini mini box to factory settings several times and ensured software is latest version on mini box and main box.

Hi @beaujangles28

With the mini box on with green led try completly resetting your mini Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the mini box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

I have tried all this several times. I mentioned that I also tried a new remote which also didn't pair. I reset the box with the rear button and the flashing red and green lights but again the remote fails to pair.
