&lt;P&gt;First thing to do is to check your software on all boxes to make sure they are on the latest Software.&lt;BR /&gt;Home - settings - System info - Highlght Software version and then select Setup and then select Update this box with latest Software.&lt;BR /&gt;Any Q box (including minis) may require a manual software update at times.&lt;BR /&gt;For example a replacement Q box or mini or any box that is powered off when an update is released.&lt;BR /&gt;However bear if mind that when you select Setup (in Setting - System info - Software version) the message received will always be update this box with the latest software even if the box is already on the latest version.&lt;BR /&gt;Updating when already on the latest version achieves nothing and the box software is not refreshed.&lt;BR /&gt;All Q boxes and minis should be on the same software version.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;See following links for latest Software versions and how to update Q software&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-software-updates" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-software-updates&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.sky.com/help/articles/updating-sky-box-software" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://www.sky.com/help/articles/updating-sky-box-software&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If the Software is all up to date.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;First try rebooting the main Q box and then when this is completely back up and running reboot the mini.&lt;BR /&gt;To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.&lt;BR /&gt;Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.&lt;BR /&gt;Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Reboot the mini as above.&lt;BR /&gt;If the mini still does not connect reliably try a Network Reset on the mini.&lt;BR /&gt;Network Reset found in mini Home - Settings - Setup - Network. &lt;BR /&gt;Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to WPS with main Q box.&lt;BR /&gt;You will be asked to press the WPS button on the main Q box (not the mini as the Network reset will start the mini WPS automatically).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are on Sky Broadband and the Router is nearer to the mini than the main box then you can try pressing WPS on the router instead of the main Q box. If you do this make sure you press the Sky router WPS button and not the router reset button.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you so so much, I did the update of software on both box's, I now have a happy husband &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;can't believe I spent over 4 hrs on the phone to technical department,but they definitely need to make sure that when speaking to a customer that they &amp;nbsp;are on the main box &amp;amp; not the mini one!,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Reset your mini remote by pressing&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;and holding 7 &amp;amp; 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;This will set it to infrared which will work all Q boxes. &amp;nbsp; However the remote must be pointed directly at the mini box.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Switch your mini box back on and you then you should be able to complete the Setup&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Once you get the mini working make sure that you are pointing your remote at the mini box and press 1 &amp;amp; 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
