Today I've had a new main 2TB box delivered as the old one was constantly losing connection to the internet via WiFi.
so the new one connects & stays connected for about 5 seconds then drops off.
I've powered down the WiFi & sky box.
reset the hard drive on the sky box.
but still doesn't resolve it.
WiFi is through BT and works perfectly with every device in the house.
normally I would blame the WiFi as it's been the same with 2 sky boxes but why would I this time when everything else works fine?
ideally I wouldn't like to hard wire the connection as one of my mini boxes is a wired connection.

Sometimes devices have a problem with the 2.4 or 5ghz connections but are ok on the other. (My iPad used to drop the 5ghz but was ok with 2.4.)

There should be an option with your BT router to create separate SSIDs for 2.4 and 5Ghz. (From memory the 2.4 name stays the same and the 5 has a 5 appended to the end. Password should remain the for both.)

Select that and see if that helps by connecting to each one separately.

If it doesn't remember switch the option off so your devices can connect as normal - if it is does work you may have to reconnect each device again. (You can leave it on anyway - if you want - and choose which devices use 2.4 and which 5 depending on their needs. I leave my mobiles and printer on 2.4 and my iPad, laptop and streaming devices on 5)
